Mrs. Norah Gamble
December 10, 1943 – February 11, 2026
Norah Gamble passed from this life into eternity at 3:03 PM Wednesday, February 11, 2026. She did so with her loving husband Phil and daughter Rhonda by her side. At the time of passing, Norah looked around the room at Phil and Rhonda, took a deep breath, closed her eyes, and went to sleep. She awoke in the presence of Jesus, hearing the words she longed to hear for many years, “Well done, good and faithful servant. Enter into the joy of your Lord.”
Norah’s life was one well lived, passionately in love with Jesus. The lives she touched and the impact she made will continue to create ripples. A woman of immense prayer, service, faith, and love, Norah made an indelible mark on all who knew her. She traveled to many countries sharing the love of Jesus such as Africa and Haiti, amongst other places. She was moved by a commitment to pray for and with any and everyone she could. She was instrumental in creating and supporting a nationwide prayer ministry with her longtime friend and pastor Doug Small.
Her greatest legacy is that of the faith she imparted to her family. She and Phil modeled lives that are in submission to “the Resident Boss”. As a result, their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren are walking with Jesus and continuing the legacy that began with Phil and Norah.
Norah was preceded in death by her brother David Carpenter (Gladys) and sister, Gloria Jean Friebe.
Norah is survived by her husband of almost 64 years, Philip, sister Mary Muncy, daughter Rhonda Carroll (Jeff), son Scott Gamble (Marissa), 5 grandchildren-Amber, Rebecca, Nathan, Rachael, and Tim, and 13 great-grandchildren.
