Mrs. Betty Shankles Smith Carmichael, 86, of Valley Head, AL passed away on May 13, 2018 at Erlanger Hospital. She was born on February 25, 1932 to Mr. Lester Shankles & Mrs. Hazel Tatum Shankles.
She is survived by:

Daughters: Judy Lewis (Richard)-Dalton, GA & Rita Chapman (Whitney)-Mentone, AL
Step-daughters: Linda Thomas (Bob)-Fort Payne, AL & Emmy Carmichael-Atlanta, GA
Sister: Marguerite Whitmire-Tuscaloosa, AL
Grandchildren: Chris Lewis (Misty), Tim Lewis, Amy Cardin (Chad), Lisa Crowder, John Chambers & Anna Chapman
