Jimmy D. Alverson, 63, of Fort Payne, AL passed away on Tuesday, October 31, 2017 at DeKalb Regional Medical Center. He was employed at GH Metal Solutions and was the Honorary Associate Pastor at Mt. Carmel Wesleyan Church.

Jimmy was a dear friend of mine. His encouraging words and his prayers got me through a lot of tough times. He was truly a GOOD MAN! He NEVER complained, and he was ALWAYS SMILING no matter how bad he felt! Such an inspiration! I will cherish his friendship forever! I knew he was a real TRUE friend... trustworthy, sincere, loyal, and most of all GODLY! I miss him so much! So blessed to have had him as a friend!
