Mr. Jimmie Lee Worthey, age 73, of Mentone, Alabama, passed away on Saturday, January 1, 2022 at his residence. He was born in DeKalb Co., Alabama on October 10, 1948 to Robert Worthey & Lillian McCorkle Worthey. Jimmie served in the United States Army and worked as a plumber and electrician.

He is survived by:

Wife: Gaynell Smith Worthey

Son: Jimmie Lee Worthey Jr.

Daughters: Stacie Worthey Painter (Wink) & Melissa Worthey Simpson (Phillip)

Grandchildren: Colton Miller, Annabelle Grider, & Hudson Lee Grider

Sister: Joyce Worthey Tate (Tom)

Preceded in death by:

Daughter: Stephanie Worthey

He will be missed he has worked on our watter when we lived in Mentone and would talk to u whenever he saw you and we rember him carrying his little dog in his overalls pocket we will be praying for Gaynell and the family he was a verry nice man and will be missed by everyone our kid never met him but they would of liked him so sorry but he is in a better place may God Bless yall
