I am saddened to learn of Holley's passing. He recently crossed crossed my mind and I intended to look him up over the holidays. What a loss for so many who admired Holley as a professional and as a friend. Echoing what everyone here has said- they broke the mold after Holley was born! Rest well, Holley. You were much loved and will be missed!

Our family loved him and his family very much. We’ve missed those Thanksgiving holidays together with Jeanne, Scotty, Midge & Shep.
My dad, Terry Cooper, just passed on August 28. I hope they’ll see each other and talk of the beautiful days at Moon Lake.
Much love, Gabriella

Holley was a member of the AMEC Board for many years, and always had something positive to bring to the table. He was a good friend, and the absence of his presence will be greatly felt!

We will miss you, Holley! What a rare one he was! So much fun, highly creative, and the characteristic I enjoyed most about him was that he was authentic! He was the real deal! If you wanted a straight answer with no frills, he was your guy! I have had some of the most hilarious conversations with him and some of the deepest conversations with him. His advice was always spot on! Praying for his friends and family at this time. What a great loss. We will miss you my friend!

The mold was retired after Holley’s creation. What a uniquely talented, capable, kind and fun-loving human. We served together on both the PRCA State and SPRF boards, and he was a great mentor to many. Holley was instrumental in building the public relations and communications talent across the southeast. His legacy will live on in these new generations of communications talent that he helped create. Rest easy, Holley, thanks for sharing yourself with so many and for the countless smiles. You will be missed.

You will be missed, Holley! Rest in Peace, my happy, comedic friend. You helped and encouraged a lot of Alabama PR folks. You were one of a kind! Condolences and prayers for your family.

My heart is sad to hear of Holley's passing. He was one of the first people I met at my very first Southern Public Relations Federation conference in Birmingham. He always had a great story and was a wonderful mentor. Rest in peace, my friend.

I cherish so many happy memories of Holley - the first time we met at a Southern Public Relations Federation conference, every time he played with the band at conferences, the late-night shenanigans in so many hospitality rooms, the time he proctored my Public Relations Accreditation exam, the dinners we shared when he visited his father in Mobile, the time he visited Suzanne Fornaro, Carol Mann, Jamie Palmer and me at Jamie's home in Flat Rock, and so many others. He was hysterically funny, an earnest listener, a great giver of advice, a repository of knowledge on infinite topics, a talented musician, a kind, kind soul, and a treasured friend who always made me feel like a princess. I bet the angels in heaven are just as enamored of him as I was.

Holley was a friend, who, no matter how long it had been since you last talked, you picked up like it was yesterday. He led the Alabama Academy of Family Physicians with great skill. This many times meant taking complex issues in front of a large polarized crowd. I can hear Holley now, as he was about to go before an audience, say, "I can't wait to hear what I am going to say?" And, he would nail it! We will miss you Holley!

So sorry about Holley. He was a wonderful coordinator for the state of Alabama for our Family Medicine group- great at organizing and inspiring. He loved his community and served well. He knew so many people and was very humble. He got this great machine that made a credit card shape as a copy for your key- He brought it for our conferences- where others had pens or notepads to give away with your logo on it. But we had a key machine- very creative of him! He was so proud of that haha!
