Mrs. Margaret Ladd Gainer

July 7, 1937 – July 7, 2019

Margaret Ladd Gainer, 82, of Wheaton, IL, passed away after a long battle with Alzheimer’s Disease.

Margaret was born and raised in Fort Payne, AL, where she developed strong friendships that lasted her entire life. She relocated to Villa Park, IL in 1967 with her family. For the past thirty years, she has resided in Wheaton, IL. Margaret attended DeKalb County High School in Fort Payne, AL. She was a homemaker and loving mother to her two daughters. She performed secretarial work on temporary assignments in the DuPage county area for many years. She was a devoted member of the First Baptist Church of Lombard, and later Wheaton Bible Church.

Margaret was known for her sweet Southern lady charm. She enjoyed traveling all over the U.S. and abroad with friends, going to the theatre and watching the Chicago Bears.

Margaret is survived by her daughter, Tracy Gainer, of Itasca, IL, and by numerous cousins and beloved friends. Margaret is preceded in death by her parents, Edward J. Ladd and Willie Lee (Gilbreath) Ladd, and by her daughter Cathy (Gainer) Bentel.
