Mrs. Doris Bennett Smith, age 93, of Fort Payne, Alabama, passed away on Monday, October 16, 2023. She was born on July 27, 1930 in McMinnville, Tennessee. Mrs. Smith worked as a guide at Sequoyah Caverns in Valley Head, Alabama for many years.

She is survived by:

Sons: Calvin Mark Smith, Jeff Smith (Elizabeth), & Chris Smith

Numerous Grandchildren, Great-Grandchildren, Nieces, & Nephews

Preceded in death by:

Parents: Elmer F. Bennett & Velma Grace McAfee Bennett

Husband: C. C. “Smitty” Smith

Siblings: Leroy Bennett, Franklin Bennett (Helen), J. W. Bennett, Joyce Ann Bennett Argo, & Mary Louise Bennet Blankenship (Jimmy)
