Mr. Thomas Walter Pullen, age 76, of Mentone, Alabama, passed away on Friday, June 6, 2025 at his residence. Walt was born on October 2, 1948 in Mentone, Alabama to Robert “Bill” Pullen & Grace Green Pullen.

He is survived by:

Wife: Gelane Nelson Pullen

Children: Josh Pullen, Laura (Donnie) O’Tinger, Rick (Debra) Bentley, & Karamie (Travis) Owens

Grandchildren: Katie (Jordan) Ford, Jazlyn Pullen, Kenny O’Tinger, Kaiden O’Tinger, Kionna-Lee O’Tinger, Bobby (Jessica) Bentley, Peyton Bentley, Parker Owens, Jackson Owens, & Ella Moon Owens

2 Great-Grandchildren

Siblings: Linda Pullen Burns, Ann (Steve) Bonner, Bob (Jan) Pullen, & Jasper Wagner

Special Uncle: Robert (Ilene) Green

Many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, & innumerable loved ones

There will never be another human as true, but quitely a son of God. In all of his ways you knew he was a christian, a funny one, but a great one. I will miss his smile and seeing him. I really felt like we were buddies!!

Walter is a special man who I admire greatly for is positive outlook on life and a great work ethic. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. I apologize to the family not being able to attend tomorrow but have an eye appointment in Chattanooga. May God minister to all of you.

Walt and I worked together at VP Buildings. I never seen Walt angry, always was kind to everyone. He spoke of his family often and how much he loved them. I had asked about Walt a couple weeks ago. My friend will be missed by all that knew him. Prayers to the family.

Mr. Walt will be missed that is for sure! He always seemed to have a smile on his face.
I also remember back when he would doze off in service at Moon Lake Baptist.

I am so sorry to see that Walt passed away! He was a fine man, excellent neighbor. i always enjoyed chatting with him. We lived about a half mile apart. He was a friend. He will be missed!

So sorry to hear this news. I worked with Walt for several years at Varco Pruden. Walt taught me a lot about my job and also a lot about life. He was such a good man and a great friend and mentor to me. He will be missed. Prayers to the family.
