Roger T. Wolcott, age 86, entered into the presence of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on May 29, 2026. While his family mourns his passing, they rejoice in the assurance that he is now at home with the Lord he faithfully served throughout his life.
Born on March 5, 1940, in Birmingham, Alabama, Roger Dedicated his life to Christian ministry and the proclamation of the Gospel. As a missionary, pastor, husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, he touched countless lives through his unwavering faith, compassionate spirit, and commitment to sharing the love of Christ.
Roger’s ministry carried him across the globe, serving as a missionary in Peru, Mexico, Operation Exodus and throughout Europe. He faithfully preached the Gospel, discipled believers, and encouraged churches wherever God called him. Through ministries such as Castillo del Ray AR, Roger helped establish a lasting legacy of evangelism, discipleship, and service that continue to impact lives today.
Roger also had a deep love for Israel and the Jewish people. Through his example and teaching, he inspired many churches to better understand, appreciate, and support the biblical foundations of the Christian faith. Over the years, he organized and lead numerous groups of adults and young people on trips to Israel, giving them the opportunity to experience firsthand the culture, history, and spiritual heritage of the land. These journeys enriched their understanding of Scripture and deepened their love for the Holy Land.
“And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of earth be blessed.” -Genesis 12:2-3
More than his accomplishments, Roger will be remembered for his deep love for God, his devotion to his family, and his desire to see others come to know Jesus Christ. He lived a life marked by humility, generosity, prayer, and steadfast faith. Those who knew him experienced firsthand his wisdom, encouragement, and genuine care for others.
Roger was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Maria Puerta Wolcott, and his brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Marge Wolcott.

“I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.”-2 Timothy 4:7
