Mr. Florian Dwight Martin

December 9, 1948 – May 20, 2020

Florian Dwight Martin passed away on Wednesday, May 20, 2020 at the age of 71. He was a graduate of FPHS, class of 1967. He received his business degree from Auburn University in 1972. Dwight co-owned Martin’s Jewelers, which received business of the year in 2011. He was a life-time member of the Auburn Alumni Association. He loved Auburn football, fishing, and being with his grandchildren.

He is survived by:

Wife of 50 years: Peggy Martin

Mother: Geneva Martin

Son: Will Martin (Julie Chitwood Martin)

Daughter: Dr. Libby Martin Pope (Dr. Jonathan Pope)

Grandchildren: Meg Martin, Lilly Martin, Charlie Pope & Liz Pope

Brother: Derrell Martin

Sister: Lana Harms

The Family requests in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the Shriner’s Hospital for Children, P.O. Box 1525, Ranson, WV 25438
