Mr. Edward Britt Lands, age 48, of Gaylesville, Alabama, passed away on Monday, September 13, 2021 at Floyd Medical Center. He was born on October 27, 1972 in Fort Payne, Alabama.

Britt was a very kindhearted man that loved his family, friends, and the Lord. He was a member of Mt. Zion Independent Church in Gaylesville, Alabama.

He was truckdriver by trade and loved working on his old Ford truck with his son. He loved spending time with his family and spoiling his grandchildren.

He is survived by:

Wife: Michelle Lands

Sons: Noah Lands & Dillan Colbert (Destinie)

Daughters: Chelsey Owen (Preston), Jessi Rhinehart (Justin), & Gracie Lands

8 Grandchildren

Parents: Edward Lee “Mickey” Lands & Mary Houston Lands

Sister: Stacy Van Pelt (Jim)

Sister-in-law: Becky Hartline (Randy)

Several Nieces & Nephews

Preceded in death by:

Grandparents: Mitchell & Jewel Houston and Lonnie & Hazel Lands

Pallbearers: Ross Van Pelt, Dillan Colbert, Preston Owen, Justin Rhinehart, Paul Van Pelt, & Jay Prater

Britt was in my 4th grade class at Gaylesville. He always had a smile on his face and was so very kind to everyone. Britt was a joy and I'm so very sorry for the loss of this good man. May the Lord put his loving arms around this family and give them comfort and peace.

Such a great loss. I went to school with Britt , he was always a good friend to everyone. Praying for his family. Thank the Lord we all know where he is at and will see him again one day

We are going to miss our dear friend. He was such a great friend and a loving person. We are sorry to say that we will not be able to make the services but please know we will be thinking of you all and sending our love and prayers. Britt your buddy is missing you and your everyday hour maybe sometime two hour conversations while driving many miles a day. May you rest in sweet peace our dear friend!
