Douglas Emanuel Anderson Sr., age 80, of Fort Payne, Alabama, passed away on Thursday, September 4, 2025 at Riverview Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Anderson was born in Mobile, Alabama to Woodrow P. Anderson and Lillie Griffin Anderson. He worked as a commercial fisherman and welder before his retirement and was an avid outdoorsman.

He is survived by:

Wife: Penny Adamo Anderson

Son: Douglas E. Anderson Jr.

Daughters: Tammy Lazo (Donald), Loretta Hulgan (Berry), & Lovenia Anderson

Sister: Deborah Lyons

11 Grandchildren & 20 Great-Grandchildren

Preceded in death by:

Parents: Woodrow P. Anderson & Lillie Griffin Anderson

Sisters: Faye Jones, Levera Johnson, & Emily Jean Anderson

Brother: Phillip Wayne Anderson

Pallbearers: Hank Lyons, Joshua Anderson, Christopher Clayton, Ethan Anderson, Matthew Pollock, & William Johnson Jr.

Sending all my love to you all Uncle Doug was a great man and will be deeply missed by many I have a lot of memories from my childhood and he was in a lot of them bc i was lucky enough to be taken in and loved by his sister and her family as not just her grand daughters best friend but as family and Uncle Doug treated me the same and for that i will always be grateful.
