Mr. Dave Burl Blalock

April 26, 1938 – August 27, 2022

Dave Burl Blalock, age 84, of Mentone, Alabama joined his Lord and Savior and bride of 64 years Bobbie Yvonne on Saturday, August 27, 2022.

Dave was a well known carpenter for over 55 years. He loved working with wood, building handicap ramps along with anything he could do for the Lord. Being on the farm, Alabama football, and front porch sitting with family were some of his favorite things. Dave was proud of his salvation and knowing where he was going to spend eternity. He loved being a member of two wonderful churches, Minvale Baptist (Ft. Payne) and Lea’s Chapel (Hammondville) for over 25 years. Anyone who knew Dave would tell you he was the finest man they had ever known. “One of a kind”.

Dave was the son of the late Frank and Lucille Blalock. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Joe, Willie, and Hubert Blalock; sisters, Mary Sue Hale, Kathryn, and Lois Jean Blalock.

He is survived by:

Daughters: Susan Flynn (Ralph), Sherri Nichols (Neal), and Charlotte Dennis (Clay)

Son: Heath Blalock (Bridgett)

Sisters: Irene Willingham, Hazel Hilliard, and Kathy Wheat

Brother: Bobby Blalock

Grandchildren: Chrissie Watson (Heath), Chase Flynn (Jennifer), Palmer, Morgan McKenzie (Anthony), Ryan, John David, Blaze, Aryan, Zach, and Taylor

Great-Grandchildren: Arabella, Olivia, Molly Grace, Norah Claire, Amber, Tayler, and Ashelyn

Pallbearers will be grandsons, Chase, Palmer, Ryan, John David and nephews, Shaun Wheat, and Greg Wheat

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to: Mentone Community Church “Community Meals” (90 Summerville Road Mentone, AL 35984) or Hospice of Alabama (266 Industrial Dr. Rainsville, AL 35986)

I am so sad to hear of daves passing, but really glad he had things in order for where he would spend eternity! he was always a friend to all, and will be missed. we can take one thing fom his passing and ask ourselves one question!! are we ready to answer the call. be ready !!
