Mrs. Garnett Lee Whatley Smith, age 58, of Mentone, Alabama, passed away on January 18, 2021 at Floyd Medical Center in Rome, Georgia. She was born in Denver, Colorado on January 8, 1963 to Samuel Whatley & Rosemarie Prichard Whatley.
She is survived by:

Garnett was one of the kindest souls I've ever known. She was so creative, funny, giving, with such a tender heart. We've truly lost a treasure with her passing. I miss her..my heart and prayers are with her family and those who loved her. I'm so very sorry..

Garnett...I know I didn't keep personally in touch over the last few years except through Facebook and occasionally running into you but I will always remember the way you took care of my babies when they were young. They loved being at your house and I loved being able to spend time talking to you after work. You were truly one of God's Angel's on this earth and will be missed. I hope and plan on seeing you again one day sweet lady!

Garnett was a very special lady, she was a beautiful soul inside and out. She was a kind, caring, compassionate friend who loved everyone she met. She will be missed dearly by her family and friends. Prayers going up for her family. RIP in peace Garnett, we love you!
