Mrs. Virginia Alice "Ginny" Miller

September 23, 1949 – October 18, 2025

Mrs. Virginia Alice Miller, known by all as “Ginny”, age 76, of Fort Payne, Alabama, entered into rest on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at her daughter’s home with the assistance of Edisto Hospice in Walterboro, South Carolina. Ginny was born September 23, 1949 in Panama, Florida. She was the daughter of the late Lilly Bryant and Marcus Sutton.

Ginny was preceded in death by her husband, Levi “Shorty” Miller; her brothers, Bill Sutton, Paul Sutton, Jep Sutton; grandson, Gage Heavener; and her best friend, Delores Mitchell.

Ginny is survived by her daughter, Tammy Clemons Von Lehe (Charlie) of Waterloo, SC; her son, Newman Dale Clemons, Miami, FL; grandchildren Brandon Blade Clemons, Levi & Josie Miller, of Clewiston, FL, Billy Miller of Orange Spring, FL, Mary Lynn Bolix of Faulkner, AL; and was Nana to Paige Henderson of Fort Payne, AL and seven other grandchildren; sisters, Georgia Veale of Clewiston, FL and Beckey Meeler of Clewiston, FL; brother, Norman Sutton (Lilly) of Lake Placid, FL; her twin brother, Sam Sutton (Donna) of Mentone, AL.

Ginny was an amazing human being. She loved her children and her grandchildren. She was a wonderful mother, sister, and friend. She loved gardening and working in her yard and could cook and sew and upholster furniture.

Ginny has many businesses from a sock mill to a hand store with her sister. She had her CDL license and traveled the United States with her husband. She lived her life as a free spirit, was the life of the party, and loved with all of her heart. She was a hard worker and was dedicated to everything she did.

The family would like to say a special thank you to her wonderful caregivers Jennifer Smith, Kathy Hutchinson, Annette Henderson, and the girls with SC House Calls and Edisto Hospice for the greatest love, care, and kindness possible.

I remember when I was a baby she would take me around town on a horse. I loved it so much.
