Mrs. Patricia Jane McBrayer

May 5, 1943 – August 5, 2025

Particia Jane McBrayer, age 82, of Dellroy, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, August 5, 2025, at her home in Virginia Beach, Virginia.

She was born in Canton, Ohio, on May 5, 1943, to the late Lorin Herbert Houze and Minnie Pearl Scott. A dedicated homemaker and Air Force wife, Mrs. McBrayer retired to Fort Payne, Alabama, following the death of her husband on January 18, 1994. She was a devout member of Union Hill Missionary Baptist Church until her move to Virginia in 2018 to be with family.

She is survived by:

Grandchildren: Nicholas Gillespie & Noah McBrayer

Great-Grandchildren: Bruce Gillespie, Jerry Gillespie, & Gordon Gillespie

Ma Pat as we affectionately called her was like a second mother to me. She and Mac were an important part of my life. Prayers of peace to all her family that she loved so dearly. Until we meet again. Love you.
