Mr. Randall Coy Smith

October 10, 1952 – August 7, 2022

Randall Coy Smith, 69, of Fort Payne passed from his earthly home to his Heavenly Father on August 7, 2022. He was born October 10, 1952 to Coy B. Smith and Ila Jay Parris Smith in Fort Payne, Alabama.

He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Linda Thompson Smith; two sons, Nathan Smith (Richard Barrett) and Jason Smith (Dorina) of Birmingham; three grandchildren, Jackson, Quinn, and Harper Smith of Birmingham; sister, Charlotte Smith Ellis (William) of Athens, AL; and brothers, Terry Smith of Centre, AL and Rickey Smith (Connie) of Rainsville, AL. He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Laura Gail Smith Harris.

Randall attended Northeast Community College. He was a draftsman for Kingsberry Homes and then Vulcraft until his retirement. From childhood, he had a responsible nature and a dependable character. He was a diligent worker, always willing to do whatever any job called for. He enjoyed playing guitar, running, golfing, and playing tennis and basketball. Most of all, he loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. His faith in God was strong, and he made it a point to study the Bible faithfully. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
