I am so sad to hear of Kay’s death. She was my first cousin. Her dad and my mother Charlsie Trussel Truss were brother and sister. Kay and I were very close before I moved to Birmingham after my husband, Ray Thompson ‘s death in 1997. I marred again in 1914.. I am 91 years old but in good health but so sorry I cannot attend Kay’ s funeral but she will not never be forgotten! She was always so sweet and beautiful . I also remember how happy she and dickie were over you three children . You are all in my prayers and may God bless all of you.

Kay was a very caring and special lady. Both her and Dickie welcomed me to Fort Payne over 40 years ago and will forever hold special place in my heart.
Our prayers go out to the family.

I am so sorry to hear of Kay’s death. My mother, Peggy Hagler Kirby, was Kay’s first cousin. Kay was a very sweet, caring lady. I’m praying for God to give all of you comfort, peace, and strength during this difficult time.
