Mrs. Nancy  Elaine Goodwin Smith, 77, of Mentone, AL passed away on Sunday, October 21, 2018 at UAB Hospital. She was born on December 14, 1940 in Birmingham, AL to Mr. Garland Goodwin Sr. & Bernice Bellsynder Goodwin.

I've known Nancy for almost 50 years...ever since she was my counselor at Camp Skyline, in my cabin and also teaching me horseback riding. I got to visit with her last June when I was in Mentone, and am so glad that I did. She was a special person, and will be missed by so many people.
