Mrs. Lula Marie Goan, age 88, of Mentone, Alabama, passed away on Sunday, December 18, 2022. She was born on March 19, 1934 in Friendswood, Texas to Calvin & Lula Feazle. Marie worked as a Lab Tech before her retirement.

She is survived by:

Husband: John Michael Goan

Children: Brenda Watson (Larry), Linda Baker (Steve), James Fotheringham (Edie), Keith Goan (Brittany), & Lisa Acebo (Al)

Grandchildren: Heath Watson (Chrissie), Matt Watson (Tiffany), Karli Fotheringham, Braxton Goan, Brayden Goan, Brody Goan, Alexia Acebo, & Austin Acebo

Great-Grandchildren: Ashelyn Watson, Tayler Watson, Isaac Watson, & Bella Stokes

Numerous Nieces & Nephews

Marie was our neighbor down the road. We would stop by and visit with her and John occasionally when they had their garage door up. She was such a sweet and elegant lady and she always had something nice to say. She loved BIG puzzles and we were always amazed by her patience and skill in fitting all the pieces together. We offer our sincerest condolences to Marie's family. May peace be with you.

I was so sorry to hear of Marie’s passing. I worked at Cracker Barrel with Marie for awhile and came to learn what a fine lady she was. Your family will be in my prayers as you face these
difficult days ahead.
