Mrs. Charlyne O’Rear, age 88, of Mentone, Alabama, passed away on Saturday, February 14, 2026 at her residence.
Charlyne was born on January 7, 1938 in Chattanooga, Tennessee to Rev. Charles D. Keyt & Sarah Wrinkle Keyt. She graduated from high school and attained an Associate’s Degree. Charlyne was a faithful member of Mentone Community Church.
She is survived by:
Husband of 68 years: John O’Rear
Sons: Chuck O’Rear (Tonya) & Sam O’Rear (Debra)
Grandchildren: Abby Jordan (Jeff), Hannah McTaggart (Michael), Sara O’Rear (Chris), Megan Lawson (Drew), & Charlyne O’Rear
Great-Grandchildren: Casey, Millie, Andie Jo, Kaylin, Oakley, & Emily
Sister: Carol Pittman (Bishop Charles Pittman)
