I am very sorry to hear of Stan's passing. He was a great neighbor, very helpful and generous with his time and commitment to our community. I could always count on Stan to check on my property and turn off my water line every time I forgot to do it before heading back to Florida. He will be missed!
Stan was a private man living on top of the mountain with his recued cats. His pride and joy was growing some of the best garden vegetables and grapes in his expansive raised beds, practicing his holistic approach of no herbicides. He was known for generously sharing the fruit of his labor with his neighbors. Stan was a preservationist of his Mentone Mountain, engaged in forest bathing and protecting nature. He was a good steward of the land. He was very upset when a local contractor killed a beautiful Timber Rattlesnake on the dirt road proximal to his cabin. He took ownership of all the wildlife and was a model citizen in showing the way to others. One of his pet peeves was litterbugs. Although Stan had few neighbors and was reclusive in nature, as neighbors, we are blessed to have had such kind person amongst us. Someone once told me, there are two types of people on this earth. There are givers and there are takers. Stan was a giver. He kept to himself, but if you were lucky enough to know him, you would know what I mean. His spirit will live on.
Thank you, Stan...
Sincerely,
Tom Hayes

It’s your time to sing with the Angels dear. You walked softly on Mother Earth. You brought forth abundant harvests and shared it with the world. I miss you, but see so much of you in nature. Doves are singing love songs in my ears today. Makes me think of you.
You will be missed 🙏😥
