Mr. Lawrence Walter Swol

May 30, 1955 – February 21, 2026

Mr. Lawrence Walter Swol, age 70, of Fort Payne, Alabama passed away on Saturday, February 21, 2026 at his residence.

Lawrence was born in Rochester, New York on May 30, 1955 to Walter & Gertrude Barch Swol. He graduated in 1976 from Siena Heights University with his Bachelor’s Degree and later obtained his MBA in Business Administration and Management at Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio, Texas in 1985.

He loved mentoring others whether it be in a professional or personal setting. His love of the outdoors was well known and especially working in his yard. Being a volunteer in his community was also a joy for him, especially Marked for Life Ministries.

Above all else his greatest joy was his family. He was a loving husband, father, & grandfather.

He is survived by:

Wife of 46 years: Kathy Swol

Son: Steven Swol (Caysi)

Daughter-in-law: Winter Swol

Grandsons: Lane Brooks (Aubrie) & Matt Brooks (Anna)

Great-Grandson: Atticus Brooks

Siblings: Patricia Schreivogl (John), Cindi Swol (James Stringer), & Michael Swol (Valerie)

Preceded in death by:

Parents: Walter & Gertrude Swol

Son: Michael Swol

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to Marked for Life Ministries (917 Godfrey Ave. S   Fort Payne, AL 35967 or to Shepherd’s Cove Hospice (408 Martling Rd    Albertville, AL 35951)
