Mr. Johnny Ray Chambers

June 2, 1946 – January 15, 2024

Mr. Johnny Ray Chambers, age 77, of Valley Head, Alabama, passed away on Monday, January 15, 2024 at UAB Hospital.

Mr. Chambers was born on June 2, 1946 in Chattanooga, Tennessee, to Ralph James Chambers & Ida Lee Rollins Chambers. He later graduated from Sylvania High School in 1964 and joined the United States Navy following graduation. Following his Honorable Discharge from the Navy he enjoyed a long career working for the Department of Defense Civil Service before retiring in 2006 and moving to Alabama.

He is survived by:

Children: Cayce Rollins, Guy W. Bouffard, & Jalean R. Baez and Son-in-law; Willam Baez,

Grandchildren: Andrew Dessin, Everett Bouffard-Mitchell, Katie Dessin, Christopher A. Baez, Kristen Dessin, & Michael Dessin

Sister-in-laws: Ann Chambers Moore, Karen Wells, Sheryl Wells, & Lori Avila

Brother-in-law: Donald Wells

Several Nieces, Nephews, & Cousins

I was so sorry to learn of Johnny’s passing. I enjoyed catching up at our class reunion in the summer. May God wrap His loving around you and give you peace and comfort during the coming days.
