Mr. James Wesley Gilliam, age 86, of Fort Payne, Alabama, passed away on Tuesday, November 5, 2024 at his residence.

Mr. Gilliam Was born in Annapolis, Missouri on July 12, 1938 to Ira Benjamin Gilliam & Eva Brewer Gilliam. He was a retired firefighter.

He is survived by:

Sons: Daniel J. Gilliam (Sherri Petty) & Michael E.W. Gilliam (Jennifer)

Grandchildren: Daniel Jay Gilliam Jr. (Ashley), Taylor Akins (Dalton), & Logan Smith

Great-Grandchildren: Makenlee, Olivia, Sophia, & Ruby

Niece/Daughter: Vicki Dickinson

You have my condolences on your loss he was a great neighbor Love the way he would yell Hi at everybody as they went by. I am truly going to miss him.

I am so sorry for your loss. He was such a special person in my life reminded me so much of my dad. He was not only a neighbor he was my best friend we had a lot of talks and a lot of laughs and he is going to be missed so much

I remember Jim being nice and always glad to see you.He had a sense of humor and it would catch you by surprise.One of my favorite brother-in-laws.
