Mr. Douglas Lindsay Winters
February 4, 1949 – June 25, 2023
Douglas Lindsay Winters, age 74, of Knoxville formerly of Memphis passed away on Sunday June 25, 2023, in Fort Payne, AL. He was a man who wore many hats, both figuratively and literally. He was raised in Memphis and attended MUS. He graduated from Memphis and Roane State Colleges.
Doug loved to fish with his father, reading, and took such a joy in cheering for LSU football. He was truly an incredible and loving soul who we will miss until our dying days. He had many jobs throughout his life; from construction to security, jewelry, and manager, to finally where he found his passion as an RN at Parkwest Hospital. However, while these jobs were important to him, none were more important than when he wore the “hats” of father and husband. Family was the most important thing in the world to him. He was an incredible man, loving and kind to all who knew him.
He is preceded in death by his beloved father, Lloyd Winters; mother Francis Winters; and sister, Julie Winters.
He has left behind his wife of thirty-eight years, Jennifer Winters, his daughter, Lindsay Winters and her husband, Cameron Adelman; who all loved him dearly and will be deeply missed. Please extend online condolences at (www.rosefuneraltn.com).
