Mr. David Michael Burt
February 5, 1958 – June 8, 2025
Mr. David Michael Burt, age 67, of the Fischer Community, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, June 8th surrounded by his wife of 26 years, Marcia, and his daughter, Brandi.
Mike was born February 5th, 1958 to Claude & Edith Burt of Colbran. He began his education at the Log Cabin School in Lebanon, transferred to Collinsville School, and eventually settled at Fort Payne High School. Upon entering the workforce, Mike explored many different career options including state park service, excavating, hosiery mill industry, chicken hatchery hauling, Lowe’s delivery service, and his final role was everyman’s dream, Tool World at Lowe’s.
Mike was a lifelong big Alabama football fan, history buff, and patriotic to his core. He believed in the 2nd amendment, collected guns, and had great aim. He loved all things western in tv and books. He preferred southern rock and loved a good gospel song. Mike was a loving, kind, and compassionate husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He was a Christian, rebirthed after his baptism in 2013, and loved the Lord immensely.
