Mr. Charles Robert “Bobby” Brown, age 87, of Mentone, Alabama passed away on November 27, 2022.

Mr. Brown was born on May 22, 1935 in Mentone, Alabama to C. Raymond Brown & Mary K. Brown. He retired after 40 years from Sand Mountain Electric Cooperative and was a devoted member of Mentone United Methodist Church.

He is survived by:

Children: Gail Smalley, Charlie Brown (Sue), & Carol Hazell

Grandchildren: Marc Smalley (Trish), Josh Smalley (Allison), Daniel Brown (Chrissie), Shelly Brown Shanklin, Alex Hazell (Becca), & Kayla Hazell Blansit (Dallas)

Great-Grandchildren: Corrine Smalley, Sawyer Smalley, Hudson Smalley, Ford Smalley, Shepherd Smalley, Zoe Brown, Alyssa Brown, Mia Brown, Sam Shanklin, Eli Shanklin, Mollie Frasier, Lilah Hazell, Olivia Blansit, & Caroline Blansit

Siblings: Sterlyn Brown (Renee), Stanley Brown (Christa), & Dee Kelley (Bill)

Preceded in death by:

Wife of 60 years: Linda Brown

Bobby was one of the kindest men I have known. We square danced with him and Linda years ago. So many good memories! Bobby always had a smile. Prayers for his family! Bobby and Linda are together again! ❤️

I remember Mr Brown being a friend to my Dad. He was always very sweet to me and had a very warm smile. Condolences to all the family.

When we moved next door to the Browns, I was 6 years old. Bobby always had the best attitude and if he ever got upset, I never saw it. He was an amazing man. I am praying for the entire family during this difficult time.
