My step-mother Lois, my dad's wife, and all my step family's Mama and Granny. My sincere and sweetest heartfelt condolences. She will be missed. Tho i did not see her much or keep a close contact to the family - because of my own far away and busy life - she was always very much respected and admired by me. It was always understood - even when I wasn't there - that she welcomed me and left an open door to their home. The thing I remember most was her southern ways and contagious sassy laughter. She sure knew how to keep my dad in line when he needed it (not too often:) and knew how to straighten him like an ironed shirt. But ready to hug & embrace the next minute in a heartbeat. She had a great sense of humor and always laughed (well almost always) at my dad's silly jokes... I know she made him real happy. I know he loved her and still loves her to the moon and back and more. They were very happy together for 38 years, and now she is resting, and I believe will one day be with Dad again. She was a wonderful woman. Rest in peace Lois. You are loved and not forgotten.

Lois was a great woman. I considered her my second Mom. Couldn't ask for a better person, almost always cheerful and a bit on the feisty side at times, which made her all that much better to be around. I'll never forget the smile and the way she waved to me just days before she passed. Forever in my heart. I love you Mother. May you be forever happy in your new life. And know that you will be dearly missed.
