Talked to Jerry Saturday at our 67th reunion of the old DeKalb County High and I can assure you that he will be sorely missed by all our class. Jerry had missed only 1 reunion since 1956. I for one will miss Jerry a lot.
Faye, my thoughts and prayers go out to you and the family. We can rejoice because we know he is free at last from his sick body and is at home with his Savior

My heart goes out to you all in the Woods family, especially Jerry’s dear wife Faye! I’m so very sorry to hear about Jerry! He was such a pleasant person, and a faithful Marine Corps League Detachment 1404 Marine member as long as he could physically attend! He also was a hard-working Marine Toys for Tots volunteer, standing for hours at fundraisers so many times! I am praying for you Faye, and all the family!

So sorry for your loss. Another child of God taken home I never heard anything negative about brother Jerry his children had great respect for him as did his community. The Bible says a good name is rather to be chosen than great riches. A good name he had, He might not have had great riches here but I believe he has a mansion in glory land and one day if we’ll live a life like brother Jerry lived we can meet again in that heavenly kingdom.
