Apologies this is late, just became aware he past away.

He will always be uncle Derbert to me, a nickname my dad (his brother) use to say.

Many great memories of him in my childhood. Outstanding person and that garden!

We have been next door neighbors to Herbert for the past 3 years or so now. He has always been so sweet and kind and just full of positive energy.
Every sunny day he would sit outside his garage and just soak in the sun. Every now and then you’d catch him laughing or smiling as he watched our littles run wild in the yard. Although we didn’t speak much, we know he was a good man and we hope you’re able to find comfort and peace during this time.

That man is a success – who has lived well, laughed often and loved much, who has gained the respect of intelligent men and the love of children, who has filled his niche and accomplished his task. Who leaves the world better than he found it, who has never lacked appreciation of earth’s beauty or failed to express it, who looked for the best in others and gave the best he had.

Rest in Peace my dear Uncle Herbert
